| DEEP HEAVEN: LIVING THE DREAM is an interactive sanctuary for exploring ways to open our hearts and live authentically in love in every moment of every day. Along the Esplanade, our heart beacon and rotating heart mirror welcome guests to explore their own hearts in our sanctuary. The Green Shoes Array, our art installation just across the Esplanade, creates a sense of wonder and exploration as it invites you into our lounge. By night, the luminous warmth of Deep Heaven's interior invites introspection and connection as one gazes across the Esplanade to the playa and the Man. The intimate mood is enhanced by 24/7 ethnic, lounge, chill and devotional music.
Our interior space is luxuriously decorated with rugs, pillows, draperies, hand painted murals, illuminated backdrops, and starry lights by night. Next to the sanctuary is our beautiful 30 foot diameter playshop temple where camp and guest facilitators lead playshops in nonsexual intimacy, movement, the playa's natural history, and more. This year our dome's calendar includes a fascinating exploration of the history of the Pledge of Allegiance.
The exterior of our camp features colorful EL wire and LED decor, a 4'x2' interactive light board sculpture in the shape of the Burning Man logo, two 6' diam EL wire dreamcatchers, a shooting meteorite with a 5' long EL wire tail & a red head, a 6' diam EL wire crescent moon, and liquid light ground projections. Deep Heaven also features three art projects, the Green Shoes Array, Camerascope, and Teleidoscope, described in the Interactivity Description below. All three will be installed across the Esplanade, with a video art installation in the camp that will display either live kaleidoscopic images from the Camerascope or live video of burners negotiating the Green Shoe Array.
